OTTAWA, Ontario -- 

CLV Group and InterRent REIT (TSX-IIP.UN) are proud to announce the launch of an extensive new cleaning and safety program which they are calling CLV Clean & Secure +TM. The program builds on the company’s existing practices as well as their strong maintenance and customer service reputation in the multi-residential housing space.

“Our top priority has always been the well-being of the approximately 25,000 residents that call our communities home,” said CEO Mike McGahan. “Now more than ever, our residents and prospective residents want to know that the attention to cleanliness and safety within their communities is second to none.”

When it comes to the cleanliness of our buildings, the program includes the use of industry-leading products like the Victory Innovations Electrostatic Sprayer in addition to high-frequency cleaning protocols in all common spaces. We’ve also put in place systematic use of various forms of protective equipment and enhanced guidelines for residents, staff and visitors including regular health screening. Customer service and safety also emphasizes use of digital technology to ensure that prospective residents can search, view and rent an apartment from the comfort of their current home, without having to enter a community or interact in person with the rental team if they’re not comfortable doing so.

Team knowledge and execution is key to the success of the initiative. All community cleaning staff are subject to a rigorous initial training program with regular follow-up training sessions. Building cleaning procedures are documented, verified, logged and reviewed to ensure adherence to the program across all teams and all sites. State-of-the-art training centres have been built in each of the company’s key regions.

“Ultimately we’re taking care of peoples’ homes,” explained McGahan. “By holding ourselves accountable for this responsibility each and every day, we’re able to provide the residents of our communities with the peace of mind they deserve.”
