CIBC opens temporary Banking Centre in Grand Forks

VANCOUVER, May 28, 2018 /CNW/ - CIBC (TSX: CM) (NYSE: CM) announced today it's opening a Mobile Banking Centre in Grand Forks, BC to allow clients access to basic banking services while the community recovers from historic flooding.

The Mobile Banking Centre located at 4th Street and 72nd Avenue will be open Monday to Friday from 9:30am5:00pm. An on-site CIBC ATM cash dispenser will also be available 24/7.

"It's going to be a long recovery for many residents and business owners in the weeks ahead and we want to do all we can to make sure our neighbours in Grand Forks have access to core banking services as they begin the cleanup process." said Mike Stevenson, Senior Vice-President and Region Head, British Columbia and Northern Territories, CIBC.

CIBC has a number of flexible options in place for clients experiencing financial impact from the flooding. Clients are encouraged to call CIBC toll free at 1-877-454-9030 or visit any CIBC Banking Centre, including the temporary facility in Grand Forks for more information.

The CIBC Grand Forks Banking Centre is one of many local businesses in the downtown area that received damage as a result of the record flooding. It has remained closed since May 10, 2018.
