TORONTO, June 1, 2018 /CNW/ - CI Financial Corp. ("CI") today reported preliminary assets under management at May 31, 2018 of $139.3 billion and total assets of $182.6 billion.

Assets under management grew by $16 billion or 13.0% year over year, and increased 0.2% in the month of May. Total assets gained $18.5 billion or 11.3% for the 12-month period, and increased by 0.4% in the month of May.

CI's average assets under management for the quarter-to-date were $139.0 billion, a decrease of 2.0% from the first quarter of 2018. Average assets under management for the year-to-date were $140.7 billion, a gain of $14.4 billion or 11.4% from the average for fiscal 2017.

CI reported assets under advisement at Assante Wealth Management (Canada) Ltd. and Stonegate Private Counsel of $43.3 billion at May 31, 2018, representing an increase of $2.5 billion or 6.1% year over year.

CI will hold its annual general meeting of shareholders on June 18, 2018 in Toronto at 2:00 p.m. EDT. The meeting will be held at CI's offices, located at 15 York Street, on the second floor.
