CI Financial announces shareholder webcast to provide corporate update and answer investor questions

Canada NewsWire

TORONTO, March 19, 2020 /CNW/ - CI Financial Corp. ("CI") (TSX: CIX) will hold a webcast for investors at 1:00 p.m. EDT on Monday, March 23, 2020, hosted by Chief Executive Officer Kurt MacAlpine. He will provide a corporate update, followed by a question-and-answer period.

"The events of recent weeks have been unprecedented, with the coronavirus having a  significant impact on our society, our economy and global financial markets," said Mr. MacAlpine. "Given these developments, we're taking the initiative to update our shareholders and other stakeholders on the steps we have taken to protect the health of our employees, to continue to operate our business at a high level, and to support our clients through these difficult times. My primary objective for scheduling this call is to provide our investors with a forum to ask questions.

"As one of Canada's largest and most diversified asset and wealth managers, CI is financially sound, focused on engaging with clients and continuing to execute our strategic plans, guided by the priorities of modernizing our asset management business, expanding our wealth management platform and globalizing the firm," Mr. MacAlpine said.

The webcast can be accessed here. Participants will be able to submit questions through the webcast page.
