CI Financial Announces Retirement of President Sheila Murray

TORONTO, Dec. 10, 2018 /CNW/ - CI Financial Corp. ("CI") (TSX: CIX) today announced that President Sheila Murray has decided to retire effective March 31, 2019. She will remain a member of the board of directors of CI following her retirement.

In addition to his current role as Chief Executive Officer, Peter Anderson will be appointed President of CI effective upon Ms. Murray's departure.

Mr. Anderson remarked "Sheila has been instrumental to the fabric of CI since joining the Company in 2008 as General Counsel. She has been key to every strategic decision at the Company since she arrived. When I returned as CEO in 2016, Sheila was also named President and assumed responsibility for Operations, Information Technology and Human Resources, in addition to Legal and Compliance. Her energy and drive have been instrumental to the success of CI. I want to thank Sheila for her endless support and guidance and look forward to her continuing counsel as a member of the CI Board."
