Heading into the weekend we have a fantastic Real Vision episode with dollar bear Ben Melkman who is interviewed by dollar bull Raoul Pal. It makes for a great conversation where Ben does a good job challenging Raoul's dollar shortage thesis. Nevertheless, they find some common ground when it comes to gold which Ben describes as a high-quality bet. Ben also explains how the Fed is backing itself into a corner on the inflation front.

The junior mining market is on fire, but some zinc miners remain stuck in a range as the commodity lags. Today, we make the case for keeping an eye on them. Here is the link to our morning report video summary which looks at Wolfden Resources (WLF). Another range bound zinc miner we have featured in the past is Osisko Metals (OM). A free version of today's morning report video will be available later today.

Real Vision also had a nice summary of yesterday's US jobs report which was based on data from early June. Ed Harrison also does a good job reviewing Federal Reserve minutes from the last meeting. Those minutes are longer than usual which suggests to me that there is a lot going on in the background that investors in the QQQ are happily ignoring. So far, it has worked like magic. Clearly the Fed and Treasury are hoping the spell will last until November. Watch the free daily briefing here
