Global gold producers are beating US big tech by 11%
The iShares S&P/TSX Global Gold ETF (XGD) is now outperforming the big tech anchored Nasdaq 100 Index by 11% this year as of July 24, 2024. While investor expectations of easier monetary policy is likely a big factor behind the outperformance, we believe there is more than lower interest rates driving the move.
