LITTLE ROCK, Ark. --

Bank OZK will award $7,500 to Habitat for Humanity of Central Arkansas, which the organization will use to further its mission. Bank OZK received the 2018 FHLB Dallas CARE Award in October from the Federal Home Loan Bank of Dallas (FHLB Dallas). An acronym that stands for “Community Area Revitalization Efforts,” the CARE Award recognizes Bank OZK’s commitment to affordable housing, disaster recovery and community revitalization. As part of the award, Bank OZK received $7,500 to donate to a community-based organization of its choice.

The media is encouraged to join local dignitaries and bank representatives at a check presentation at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 14, at Bank OZK’s headquarters at 17901 Chenal Parkway in Little Rock.

Bank OZK has leveraged more than $10 million in FHLB Dallas grant funding to invest in its communities. Programs include down payment and closing cost assistance for first-time homebuyers, rehabilitation grants for the elderly and other special-needs households, housing repair and rehabilitation assistance for veterans, operational funding for community-based organizations, small business grants and disaster recovery assistance grants.
