TORONTO, Oct. 29, 2018 /CNW/ - Frank McKenna, Deputy Chair, TD Bank Group, congratulates author Joanne Schwartz and illustrator Sydney Smith as the joint winners of the 2018 TD Canadian Children's Literature Award for their book, Town Is By The Sea. Schwartz and Smith will split the top prize of $50,000, the largest cash prize in Canadian children's literature. As part of The Ready Commitment, this year's prize from TD was increased from $30,000 to help provide greater support to children's authors and illustrators to continue to pursue their talent.
