AP Breaks Ground on the Colorado State University Shepardson Hall Addition and Renovation Project

Despite the year's first snow fall, AP broke ground on the Colorado State University (CSU) Shepardson Hall Addition and Renovation project.

PR Newswire

FORT COLLINS, Colo., Oct. 20, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Despite the year's first snow fall, AP broke ground on the Colorado State University (CSU) Shepardson Hall Addition and Renovation project.

The CSU College of Agricultural Sciences focuses on meeting global challenges of a growing population that seeks food safety, food security and wellness through the sustainable use of natural resources. The revitalization project to Shepardson Hall solves the University's capacity demands and combines program spaces which are currently scattered across the campus. In addition, it also preserves the historic nature of the 1938-built building.

This design-build project involves not only a major renovation of the interior space to meet evolving programmatic needs, but also entails two significant additions to allow for growth and provide a signature building for the College of Agricultural Sciences. Complete renovation of the existing building, including most of the infrastructure systems, will occur with a 15,000-sf addition to the south side and a 31,000-sf addition on the north side which will become a new signature entry.

"We're incredibly excited to contribute to CSU's amazing Agricultural Sciences endeavors in such a big way," said AP Design Build Manager Jason Heustis. "We look forward to continuing our partnership with CSU and can't wait to share the finished product."

The project, designed by CannonDesign, is set to be complete in August 2021.
