MONTREAL --

Altitude Sports officially announces its Marketplace, increasing their presence as a one-stop-shop for technical outdoor and urban apparel. For Fall 2019, the Marketplace will expand from offering Osprey & Garneau’s collections to a total of 20 industry-leading brands.

The Marketplace is an innovative extension of the company's eCommerce platform. The Marketplace hosts partner companies' entire product collections on the Altitude Sports website. Altitude Sports processes customer orders on the Marketplace while partner companies - manufacturers such as Osprey - fulfill and deliver the order directly to the customers.

“We're convinced Altitude Sports Marketplace is a win-win opportunity for our clients and partners. Our clients can tap into a much wider selection of outdoor and urban products while enjoying our platforms leading customer experience. It also provides our partnering brands with a turnkey solution to harness Altitude Sports' eCommerce infrastructure while seamlessly displaying their entire catalog to a highly receptive audience. The Marketplace gets us one step closer to building an ecosystem catering to all outdoor and urban clients' aspirations." - Altitude Sports COO, Joe Asmar

“When we talk about our own Marketplace, it’s as exciting as imagining discovering a new continent. It enables us to expand our product catalog by increasing the number of available units at all times. It also lets us envision new niches and markets. We look at the Wayfair’s and Farfetch’s of the world, they give us the ambitious blueprints to become the leading global marketplace in our industry.” - Altitude Sports Co-CEO, Alex Guimond

Altitude Sports is Canada’s online leader in technical on-trend apparel and products for outdoor performance pursuits and the urban lifestyle. Along with the Marketplace, the company recently named former SSENSE Vice President Joe Asmar as COO to expand Technological & Operational Services. Altitude Sports partner website TheLastHunt.com is Canada's only eCommerce business dedicated to selling discounted outdoor clothing and equipment.

In 2018, Altitude Sports processed 460,000 orders, and 65% of sales were outside of their home province of Quebec. As of June 2019, the company has a growing roster of 430 brands and 200 employees. Visit their website at www.altitude-sports.com.
