Above Food Corp. Announces Appointment of Jason Zhao as Chief Financial Officer

Regina, Saskatchewan - TheNewswire - October 18, 2021 - Above Food Corp. (“Above Food” or the “Company”), is pleased to announce the appointment of Jason Zhao (“Zhao”), as Chief Financial Officer, Vice-President of Finance and Enterprise Risk of Above Food.

Zhao has 20 years of experience building and leading finance teams in public practice accounting and industry, specializing in business valuations, mergers and acquisitions, technology, and other business advisory services for public and private companies. An active member in the community, Zhao has served on numerous community boards.  He is currently the Chair of the Creative Saskatchewan Board and the Past Chair of the Regina Symphony Board.  

Zhao graduated from the University of Alberta, and went on to earn his Chartered Professional Accounting and  Chartered Business Valuators designations.  He started his accounting career in Alberta with an international public accounting firm providing audit, assurance, and advisory services clients in a variety of industries including natural resources, manufacturing, retail, and education.  He then specialized with the corporate finance team focusing on valuations and mergers and acquisitions (“M&A”).   Zhao has focused on raising capital internationally for projects and companies in Western Canada, and has been instrumental in many successful investments in the retail, real estate, and natural resources sectors.
