A new record in sight

MONTREAL, Dec. 3, 2018 /CNW Telbec/ - The 18^th edition of Tremblant's 24h is just around the corner, running from December 7 to 9. Once again this year, more than 3,500 skiers, walkers and runners will convene at Mont Tremblant Resort with a single objective: to meet this year's fundraising target of $4.125 million in support of sick and disadvantaged children and thus surpass last year's record total of $3.868 million.

Media representatives are invited to experience this emotion-filled weekend by participating in the different activities that have been scheduled (complete calendar of events is shown below). The three foundations that benefit from the event (Fondation Charles-Bruneau, Ottawa Senators Foundation and Fondation Tremblant), the sponsored children, ambassadors, organizing committee and participating teams will all be on-site to share their experiences.

Friday, December 7

Join us to watch the sponsored children enjoy the First Tracks – a heartwarming event where the kids experience the magic of the 24h – for some of them, their first time ever on skis! This is also a prime occasion to chat with the kids and the event ambassadors and get some great photos.

BORÉALE Party – 9:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m.
Le Grand Manitou – Mountain summit
This is the festive weekend kick-off for participants. Musical ambiance by DJ Franky Selector and live show by Antoine Gratton.

Saturday, December 8

Official presentation of foundations and sponsored children – 10:30 a.m.

One of the emotional highlights of the weekend; the children and their families speak a few words and help further inspire participants who are getting ready to start their 24-hour challenge. For the media, this is a chance to meet the families, sponsored kids, participants and event ambassadors.

The singer and 24h ambassador is back, to the delight of all, with a new album and an exclusive, free show for fans and the entire event community.

10:00 p.m.: Mélissa Lavergne and friends
Our faithful music director and her rockin' "24h house band" will get spectators and participants on their feet as she and her guests perform the world's chart-topping disco hits. Guests: Yann Perreau, Paul Doucet, Karim Ouellet and Alfa Rococo.

11:30 p.m.: Igloofest at the base of the slopes with CRi (DJ set)
To keep the fun going, Igloofest will add a touch of magic to the night and have everyone dancing until the wee hours.
