Business Overview
Hartco Inc. (Hartco) is a provider of information technology (IT) solution. Hartco operates in three segments: the Franchising and Distribution segment, which consists of its distribution activities operated by Hartco Distribution Limited Partnership, as well as the franchising of businesses that sell a range of IT solutions to private and public sector organizations of every size; the Commercial segment, which includes the business activities operated by the Company's subsidiary, Metafore Technologies Inc. (Metafore), and Corporate Service, which include activities and expenses related to its corporate and shared services. Metafore designs, supplies, installs and supports IT infrastructure solutions. Franchises operate under the banners of Metafore and MicroAge, which together include 50 locations. On June 30, 2011, the Company sold its 50% interest in NWD Systems (Montreal) Ltd. On March 31, 2011, the Company sold a connectivity service contract.
