Business Overview
FairWest Energy Corporation is engaged in the acquisition, exploration, development and production of petroleum and natural gas in western Canada. During the year ended December 31, 2010, the Company drilled three wells, including two vertical wells in the Neutral Hills area and one horizontal well in the Berry Creek area. During 2010, One well in the Neutral Hills area was completed and added approximately 10 Barrel of Oil Equivalent per day (boe/d) net to the Company's production base. The other well in the Neutral Hills area was abandoned. During 2010, it acquired 543 units of Royalty Investments Limited Partnership. On September 30, 2010, it sold wellbores in the Provost and Berry areas to AltaEast Production Limited Partnership. In 2011, the Company entered into two farmout agreements whereby a minimum of seven horizontal Viking resource play farmout wells. In 2011, the horizontal well in the Berry Creek area was completed and added approximately 20 boe/d net of production.
