Melkior Announces Genex Update

Timmins, Ontario.
Melkior Resources Inc. (“Melkior” or the “Company”) (TSXV:MKR) (OTC:MKRIF) announces an update at its
Genex Project. On January 31, 2024, the Company provided International
Explorers & Prospectors Inc. (“IEP”) with a formal notice of
default outlining the terms of non-compliance by IEP under the option
agreement dated April 19, 2022 (the “Agreement”). The Agreement
provides Melkior an option to acquire a 100% interest in the Genex
Project (see the Company’s news release dated April 20, 2022 for
additional information).

(OTC:MKRIF) is pleased to announce that, subject to the final approval
of the TSX Venture Exchange (the “Exchange”), the Company has closed its non-brokered private
placement of $466,360 through the issuance of 2,914,750 flow-through
units (each, a “FT Unit”)
at $0.16 per FT Unit (the “Private
Placement”).

The Val-d'Or Property is located over 35 kilometers east of Val d'Or and is comprised of 120 claims covering approximately 6,333.04 hectares.
