Business Overview
Hemisphere GPS (Hemisphere) is engaged in the design, manufacture and sale of global navigation satellite system (GNSS) products for positioning, guidance and machine control applications in agriculture, marine and other markets. The Company organizes its activities along two segments: agriculture products and precision products for non-agriculture markets (including marine, survey and construction). The Company's agriculture segment sells products for ground and air based precision agriculture applications. Its precision segment sells precision global positioning system (GPS) products for non-agricultural markets, including marine and geographic information systems applications, among others. Revenues from agriculture represent approximately 78% of its revenues during the year ended December 31, 2011. Approximately 62% of 2011, revenues were from customers in North America. In February 2012, the Company acquired AgJunction from GVM, Inc.
